Missions

7th & 8th Girls' Bible Class
All classes have opportunities to minister to others. Elementary classes visit nursing homes where they share their Bible verses, poems, songs and art projects with the residents. The Jr. & Sr. High minister to the elderly as well as the homeless in Washington D.C.  Students are introduced to different missionaries during chapel and our encouraged to pray for the missionaries and the work they are doing.  Twice a year, our 7th-12th grade students participate in "Missions Day."  The students go in groups to area organizations, such as:  Community In Touch (Noah's Ark), The Boys & Girls Club, WPRZ, Salvation Army, and others and spend a day working in that organization.

Annual opportunities for reaching out to others include: filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, food drives for the holidays, gathering clothes and toiletries for the homeless, and others.  As we show the Love of Jesus to those we come into contact with we fulfill what Jesus called the “Great Commission.”

Go ye into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation. Mark 16:15
