About Us Volunteer
Here are some of the ways in which you can volunteer your time at Fresta Valley Christian School:Weekly Lunch Program
This consists of picking up lunches and serving lunches and snacks to the elementary, middle and upper school classes. Tuesday is Subway, Wednesday is Domino’s pizza, Thursday is Panera Bread, and Friday is Chick-fil-A for 3rd through 12th grades. Approximately 2 hours each day (excluding school holidays). This is a wonderful time to get to know the teachers and students!
Pioneer School Store
The school store is open Monday-Friday from 7:50 - 8:15 a.m. Spirit wear and various supplies can be purchased from the store. This consists of keeping the stock updated and cashiering during the hours the store is open.
Bonus Programs
Count labels, box tops or Capri Sun pouches and bundle and mail packages to participating programs. Approximately 2-3 hours per month. Recycle items picked up weekly (Fridays) and taken to recycle center.
Picture Day
Assist in making sure students forms are filled in correctly and completely and classes know correct picture time. Assist photographer in whatever way to make sure picture taking runs smoothly. Picture days are listed on the school calendar and normally run from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Classrooms Helpers.
Elementary classes like to enjoy a warm meal. Help heat microwave meals and distribute to the classes during their lunch shifts weekly. This day can be tailored to your schedule! Teachers also need help during the school day with various projects in the classroom.
Fundraising Events
Holiday wreath sale, spring book fair, and Mother’s Day plant sale all need volunteers to oversee the ordering, acquire other volunteers to help and run the different sales during the year.
Pioneer Sports Concessions
Help purchase, keep stocked and run the concessions during the different sports seasons. This is a fun way to be in on the action and enjoy watching the at home games and meeting new people!
Staff Appreciation Committee
If you have the gift of hospitality this area is for you! Help cook meals and goodies throughout the year for the faculty and staff. This is a fun and interactive way to get to know the staff!
Grounds Committee
Help keep the outside of our school looking good! We need people various times throughout the year to help clean flower beds, mulch, weed, cut grass, cut tree limbs back, and haul loads of debris to the landfill.
Event Committee
Throughput the year we have events such as Grandparents Day, Pastor Appreciation Day, Open Houses that we need help with decorating and serving in many different fashions.
Retreats
Mother/Daughter & Father/Son retreats are held the first past of each school year. This is a fun time to get to know others families in the school. A lot of preparation goes into these events and if this is something you like to do, let us know! We need you!
Programs
Is your child involved in Drama, Sports, Orchestra, Speech & Debate, or Robotics? All of these programs have countless opportunities to help in. Just let us know on the Volunteer Opportunity Form Which program you are interested in.
